Probably the most impressive aspect of the Phillies 23-11 start is the fact that they are playing well even without their star second basemen Chase Utley. Utley has been on the DL since the start of the season with a knee injury and will begin his rehab tonight with Single-A Clearwater. According to Jim Salisbury of CSNphilly.com, Utley could return to the Phillies line up as early as their next home stand which begins on May 18th. I'm excited that Utley will be back in the Phils line up soon but I am a little worried about the actual extent of the injury. It seems kind of strange that Utley showed up to camp injured. He had to have known that something was wrong during his off season workouts. I hope that he will be able to make a full recovery and have a significant impact once he returns.
