Before the Flyers even had time to blink Game 3, they quickly found themselves down 2-0. The Bruins scored twice in the first 63 seconds off goals from Zdeno Chara and David Krejci.
Flyers analyst Bill Clement brought up an interesting theory as to why the Flyers got off to such a bad start. Clement said the Flyers were probably so amped up to start the game and so ready to go offensively that they basically forgot about defense and failed to protect their own net.
After the 2 quick goals Peter Laviolette called a time out to speak to his goal tender Brian Boucher. The time out proved to be effective as Boosh didn't allow another goal for the remainder of the first period.
But in the second Boosh allowed 2 more goals and was quickly replaced by Sergei Bobrovsky. Offensively the Flyers finally put one past Tim Thomas thanks to a goal from Andrej Meszaros. Unfortunately the Flyers were just never able to recover from that awful start. The Bruins tacked on another goal in the third to win by a final of 5-1.
The Flyers are again in a 0-3 hole and will need to dig deep tomorrow night to force a Game 5. Even though they came back in this same situation last year doing it again is undoubtedly going to be a monumental task. Right now the Flyers have to focus solely on Game 4 and take this series one game at a time.
i could read this on yahoo sports or ESPN. blogs are supposed to take an opinion, not just report the news. thanks anyway
