Sixers Report Card: Elton Brand

For the first time in a long time Elton Brand played in an injury free season.

After dealing with knee injuries in Los Angeles and in recent years with the Sixers, Brand managed to stay healthy and consistently contributed all year. He averaged 15 points and 8.4 rebounds and was the Sixers go to guy especially in the post season.

Brand did a good job this year of getting in position to knock down mid range jumpers. He also played well in the paint and created opportunities for himself and his team mates. Elton was the only real presence on the boards on a team that definitely lacks size down low.

A lot of people overlook the consistency of Elton Brand probably because of the large amount of money he is making. But Brand was consistent all year and was a great leader for this young team. The young guys on this team really look up to Brand who has a strong work ethic and a strong desire to win. B+ is a deserving grade for the hard working veteran Elton Brand.

Grade: B+
