Jrue Holiday is a young player with a very bright future.
This year Holiday developed right in front of us and is quickly becoming one of the best point guards in the NBA. A lot of Holiday's success this past year was due to Doug Collins. Collins believed in the young point guard and stuck with him even when he struggled. The soon to be 22 year old averaged 14 points and 6.5 assists and shot 44.6% from the field and 36.5% from beyond the arc. Although there is still room for improvement on his shot, Holiday knocked down countless jumpers and was a legitimate 3 point threat. In addition Holiday did a great job of pushing the ball in transition and was the Sixers leader on the fast break.
For next year I would like to see the young point guard take better care of the ball. Holiday needs to limit his turnovers and make better decisions with the ball if he wants to be a premiere point guard in this league. Overall this season was a vast improvement for Holiday. He just needs to work hard this off season and continue to work at becoming an even better player.
