Sixers Report Card: Evan Turner

As the number 2 overall draft pick, expectations for Evan Turner were extremely high.

Turner got some playing time early on but as the season progressed Turner's minutes and production dropped significantly. But Turner continued to work hard and contributed as best he could when Doug Collins gave him the opportunity.

The young guard steadily improved as the year went on. Turner averaged 7.2 points during the regular season turned it on towards the end of the year. In the playoffs Turner really stepped it up and posted 17 points in the Sixers Game 4 victory.

But even though Evan finished the season strong there are a lot of things he needs to work on. First and foremost Turner like Iguodala needs to do a better job of playing to his strengths. Turner is effective at driving and getting into the lane where he can knock down difficult and off balance shots. He needs to drive more and get into the paint where he has most of his success. Turner also needs to perfect his jump shot and if he can hit the gym and get 100 plus shots up everyday he should be in good shape for next season. I'm really excited about Turner's future and I expect a big season from him next year.

Grade: C+
