I like to make sports predictions, it's really fun. Like on Wednesday I predicted the Phils would rough up Ryan Dempster and they did just that exploding for 9 runs in their series finale victory. I'm going to make a similar prediction for the Phils upcoming 10 game homestand. I think the Phils offense is going to explode during the homestand and average 6 plus runs a game. It's really not that bold of a predicition as the Phils have scored 86 runs in 15 games during the month of July or 5.73 runs a game.
During the homestand the Phils will take on the Padres, Giants and Pirates in what should be a great opportunity for the Phils to further expand their lead in the NL East. Late July is usually the time the Phils offense starts clicking and hopefully the Phils continue their hot play in the upcoming stretch of home games.
The Phils begin their homestand tonight against the Padres with Cole Hamels taking on Cory Luebke.
