NFL Lockout Almost Over?

The reports coming from the NFL lockout have been very positive during the past few weeks and it seems that the two sides are very close to reaching a deal. Today the NFL and the NFLPA issued this statement:

"The discussions this week have been constructive and progress has been made on a wide range of issues. Our legal and financial teams will continue to work through the weekend. We will continue to respect the confidentiality orders of Chief Magistrate Judge Arthur Boylan and will therefore refrain from commenting on specific issues or aspects of the negotiations. We will provide additional information as developments in this process continue."

According to Gregg Rosenthal of profootballtalk.com the only two issues that reamain are:

-The settlement details of the litigation,
-Player safety issues related to the offseason

Both sides will continue to communicate throughout the weekend and all through out next week. and a deal could be finalized as early as Thursday.
