A Return Home

Tonight is the 2nd meeting this season between the Flyers and Penguins. The game tonight also brings two current Flyers back to their original team. Jaromir Jagr was drafted 5th overall back in the 1990 NHL draft. Jagr scored 1,000 points in 806 games as a Penguin and is second in every offensive catagory as a Penguin only behind Mario Lemieux, the only catagory he is not second in, is points per game which he is trailing Sidney Crosby and Lemieux. As a Penguin, Jagr compiled 439 goals,640 assists, and 1079 points.
Tonight is also the homecoming for Max Talbot. Talbot was drafted in the 8th round 243rd overall in the 2002 NHL draft. As a Penguin Talbot compiled 52 goals, 56 assists and 108 points. Talbot was loved by Pittsburgh fans and is most remembered for his two goals in game 7 of the 2009 Stanley Cup finals, which propelled the Penguins to their 3rd Stanley Cup.
The Flyers are coming off a 5-1 loss against Tampa Bay on Tuesday. The Flyers will be looking to rebound by beating their interstate rival. Tonight Sergei Bobrovsky will be in the net. Bobrovsky is 7-2-1 record. this season and Flyers rookie Sean Couturier will be in the line up. Sidney Crosby is out of the lineup for the Penguins tonight, so the Flyers have one less offensive threat to worry about. Flyers should pull out a win in a close game today.
