Pronger Out 3-4 Weeks
More bad news for Flyers fans. Today it was announced that Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger will be out 3-4 weeks as he under goes surgery to fix his injured hand. Although the news sounds bad, the Doctor performing the surgery believes that Pronger could be back skating as early as next weekend. And as for the playoffs? The Doctor believes that Pronger shouldn't miss any of the playoffs which start it in mid April. Pronger will be greatly missed as the Flyers head into the final 14 games of the season both on the ice and in the locker room. Pronger is a strong veteran leader who is a guy that you want to have around especially during this current tough stretch. The Flyers will have to rely on their current defensemen as well as newcomer Nick Boynton to pick up the slack in Pronger's absence. Also the goalies have to step it up and play stronger to fill the void. The Flyers next game is tomorrow as they travel to Florida to take on the Panthers.
