Turner To See Extra Minutes

In order to slow down D-Wade, Lebron James and Chris Bosh, the Sixers are going to have to give more time to their top defenders.

This means that rookie Evan Turner one of the Sixers best individual defenders should see some extra minutes in the upcoming series. Turner has the ability to defend a guy like Wade or James and force them to take difficult shots. In addition Turner has a great understanding of the game and knows how to play defense. There are very few well rounded players in the NBA like Turner who understand the importance of playing defense. Paring Evan alongside Andre Iguodala should do a pretty good job of countering the Heat's high powered offensive attack.

Turner may also see extra minutes due to the fact that Lou Williams who is expected to return may not be at 100%. Turner can be an option off the bench if Lou Will is still hurt or just a little rusty in the early games of the series. Turner can drive to the basket, push the ball up the court, and help out on the boards.

With such an important role, it will be interesting to see how rookie Evan Turner responds in his first NBA post season.
