The Philadelphia Eagles and other players have been holding some informal workouts during the lockout, and there was a new member of the Eagles joining them this time around. The new member of their workouts was their starting runningback, LeSean McCoy.
Prior to joining his teammates on Tuesday, McCoy has been working out on his own, although there hasn't been to many football drills. His workouts consisted of mostly running, lifting and conditioning. He is getting in shape for the season, but due to where he plays there aren't as many drills for him to do. Tuesday was his first football workout of the entire season. With the lockout in place McCoy is going to have to continue these football workouts so that he is ready for whenever it is lifted.
This has been very different for NFL players and it is hard to keep at it. They aren't used to this and it is a whole different routine for them. They have to start figuring out a routine so that when they are allowed to return to the playing field they will be ready. It was good to see McCoy working out with his teammates and getting ready for the NFL season, whenever that is.
